Product Designer - FARM'D, 2018

Took a pre-MVP marketplace concept for a small startup with a 3 person tech team and designed a fully functional web application for 3 user types. I led all aspects of the design process from user research, customer journey mapping, style guide creation, reworking site maps & user flows, high fidelity wireframes, prototyping & usability testing, making decisions on direction, through QA to release. The business raised 1.5M of fundraising, grew to 50k a month in revenue, and won “Best New Startup" at the ATL Product Hunt Finals. View Case Study.

DIGITAL Product Designer - ONCUE TECHNOLOGIES, 2016 - 2018

OnCue Technologies originally hired me on contract just to redesign one tablet app, but it turned into so much more than that. These are a few of the projects I worked on while I was there:

  • BevTv Ad Network: I redesigned a desktop & mobile dashboard for two user types, redesigned an ecommerce tablet app, and connected & designed screens for enomatic machines. I also led a team design sprint, hosted A/B testing, observed users, updated user flows, designed from sketches to high fidelity, designed and tested interactions, and worked with the developers to build, QA, & release all products. The tablet app won first place in the "Best Multi-Case Floor Display" category at Beverage Dynamics magazine's Advertising and Promotion Awards. The company now has Jim Beam, Hornitos, Anheuser-Busch, Liquor.com & more as clients.

  • Sellr & Shoppr: I worked with a small startup to create a user-friendly solution that engages shoppers online & in-aisle to help drive traffic and sales for store owners. I designed a mobile app for shoppers, updated the MVP tablet app in beverage stores, and designed a desktop dashboard and a mobile app dashboard from UX research through QA & release. There are currently 250k+ monthly shoppers, 5M+ monthly impressions with a 5.6s avg. dwell time. 400+ tablets have been installed across US and Canada & apps are available for download.

  • HealthMe: helping shoppers make educated decisions about OTC medications & supplements

Hackathon 3rd Place Winner, Public defenders, 2016

During a 48-hour hack-a-thon I worked with a small, all female team to dream up, design, and build Guardian. I designed and prototyped the desktop web app and a corresponding mobile app which got a media feature after we won 3rd place. See Case Study

Project manager & UX Designer - QuasarBlu, 2016

I worked with a small team to redesign an MVP social media app with new onboarding, new user profiles, a new messaging system, and overall better app flow. During this project I led UX research, created data-based personas, defined user flows, sketched & wireframed, user tested, led a design critique, prototyped, & delivered design assets. The redesign improved weekly user retention by 13% and user engagement increased on average by 8 min/session. See Case Study

Game Concept Designer - charity:water, 2016

As a passion project to raise awareness about the world's water crisis, I designed a mobile game from conception including user research, surveys, persona creation, comp analysis, sketching, usability testing, high fidelity design, & defining game mechanics. See Case Study

Sales and Leasing Consultant - RAM Partners, 2015

Maintained an occupancy rate of over 90%. Assisted in developing marketing plans, internet ads, print ads and marketing copy. Conducted quarterly rent comp studies.

Special Events Coordinator - American Heart Association, 2014

Aided in the planning, promotion, and production of Heart Ball’s and related events. Planned all aspects of events such as entertainment, decor, photography, rentals, and food/beverage. Designed all signage and marketing collateral for events.

Research Assistant and Lab Manager - Eckel Lab, Johnson Lab, and Keel Lab, 2013

Throughout undergrad, I worked as a research assistant in multiple labs administering research tests, collecting and analyzing data. I conducted interviews, diary studies, surveys, eye tracking tests, and A/B tests.
