FARM'D

an online farmers market

Farm’d is an Atlanta-based company that connects chefs and farmers together in a totally new way, empowering the growth of a better food system that is more reliable and favorable to everyone. Farm'd is dedicated to helping local farmers by building an easy to use online farmers market, connecting them to local buyers, and providing same day fresh food delivery from farm to restaurant. I was brought on to help improve the user experience for both buyers and sellers, who were all having a difficult time transitioning their old work flow into the digital world.

After6

to find out where the party is at

After₆ was looking for an overall audit to improve their app’s first-time-user-experience to increase their very low user engagement rate. After₆ is an app that helps you find where to go out at night by giving you a real time window into nearby restaurants, bars and events that are happening right around you. The only problem is - if no one is using the app, then no one is uploading any videos to give you that inside look. I worked with a small team to redesign After₆ and the user feedback we got was surprising.

Toned

see the other side of your words

Toned helps people who are either too optimistic or too pessimistic to see the other side of things they write more clearly. You start by either pasting, scanning or writing text that you want to work on, and then Toned uses natural language processing to identify words and phrases in your text that are slanted either happy or sad, and helps you change them to the ideal tone.

HEALTHME

helping shoppers make educated decisions

I was challenged to design a in-store tablet app that specifically helps shoppers in the pharmacy aisle make educated decisions about over the counter medications and vitamins. The original ask was for a 'replacement' pharmacist that spoke to customers and could read product labels aloud, but user tests suggested a different solution.

ELeague

A FANTASY E-SPORTS BETTING APP

E-League is a professional gaming league that features 24 teams from across the world competing in two 10-week seasons, annually, for $1,400,000 USD in prize money. Exciting, right? E-League wants to bring the Counter Strike: Global Offensive competition to mobile devices during both broadcasts and in between matches to get new users excited about esports while also engaging casual counter strike players. I worked as part of a small team to design a mobile app for the Atlanta-based company, but you can bet it took a turn in a whole new direction!!

Guardian

the solution to reporting police behavior

Cops are an active part of our daily lives. Most of our experiences go along just fine, but not every cop is even handed when dulling out punishments and sometimes even when the victim wasn’t even doing anything wrong in the first place. The public needs a safe platform to be able to give their side of the story about our experiences in the field with the police force back to the station. During a 48-hour hack-a-thon our team of 6 dreamed up, designed, and executed Guardian.
